Park Roberts grew up in Raleigh, North Carolina and moved to Boulder in 2010 after finishing his time in the United States Army. He had been involved with sports all his life playing lacrosse while growing up.  While deployed in Iraq, Park and his fellow battle buddies would kill time lifting weights, which soon led him to the discovery of functional fitness and HIIT style workouts. Park had always been a gym rat, but this new style of training was a great challenge, and pushed him to try and become the best athlete he could. When he’s not in the gym, you can find Park applying his fitness on his mountain bike, tearing up the trails of beautiful Colorado or spending time with his wife and their three fur-children.

With his experience training in gyms, Park alway had a desire to get into personal training.  However, he never saw himself as the traditional “globo-gym” trainer, which often fosters a culture of judgement and insecurity. One of the biggest aspects that drew him to the gym was the community, coaching, and team environment. Through his coaching, Park wants to convey to members that pushing themselves to the threshold of their ability, they not only become stronger physically, but also mentally. The mental stamina that can be gained through fitness is huge - your mind is going to give out way before your body does. Park’s main goal after each class is to have his athletes to walk out of the gym with a smile of accomplishment on their face and a sweat angel left behind.
